Our Scottish Dirk is a direct descendant of the medieval ballock dagger style. The grip form began to change, probably sometime in the late 16th century, but soon developed a form that was purely Scottish. The blade was long and single-edged.

Styled on the military regulation dirk and much favored by Scottish Bandsmen, this impressive 20 inch full size Scottish Dirk has a polished 12 inch steel blade etched with traditional Scottish thistle and foliage decoration.

This Scottish Dirk is fashioned after a Fifteenth Century Design. This beautiful dagger has highly polished steel blade with strong tang peened to the pommel.

Our Smaller Scottish Hand Targe is made with wood, and overlaid in leather; It is accented with numerous brass studs and brass shield boss. The suede-covered back of the shield is finished with a thick leather arm straps.

Originally used for battle and now mainly for decoration, this rugged shield is made of a dense hardwood and expertly covered with soft leather. An historical design using both brass fittings and tacks have been added for additional beauty. Dual leather straps in the back.

Kilts were originally pleated on the floor before being tied around the waist. This attractive kilt is a bit easier- the pleats are sewn in. Made from acrylic wool in your choice of red or brown plaid.

A Scottish tradition, the original Sgian Dubhs were frequently worn under the shirt close to the armpit. Now it is traditional for the Scottish Sgian Dubh to be worn in the stocking of the Highlander, and the knife is frequently called a "stocking dirk".

The Sgian Dubh (pronounced "skee(a)n doo") is a ceremonial dagger (Gaelic sgian) worn as part of the modern Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt. It is worn tucked into the hose with only the pommel visible. The name comes from the Gaelic meaning "black knife," where "black" may refer to the usual colour of the handle of the knife. It is also suggested that "black" means secret, or hidden, as in the word blackmail. This Generation 2 / Legacy Arms version is based on the stories and theories surrounding the knife's origin and the meaning of "Dubh" in Gaelic.
