Inspired by 10th-century Scandinavian round shields, this design echoes artifacts unearthed near Trondheim. Vikings adorned shields with animal motifs to invoke protection (*fylgja*) in battle. Our Running Horse pays homage to the Oseberg tapestry’s motifs, blending historical reverence with reenactor practicality.
