This Napoleonic Gendarmes d' Elite Briquet Saber has a blade of high carbon steel with an etched bomb and fuse on both sides of the blade. The hilt is of brass and the grip is leather and twisted brass over wood. Armory and inspection markings are stamped onto the hilt. The scabbard is leather with brass fittings.
