Kaeru (Frog) Katana

Experience the grace and elegance of the Kaeru Katana, a traditional samurai sword crafted by Paul Chen / Hanwei. This stunning sword features a hand-forged and folded blade made from powder steel, with a medium-length (chu) kissaki. The high-quality ray skin (same) on the tsuka, combined with the premium dark blue Japanese cotton tsuka-ito, ensures a comfortable and secure grip. The expertly cast stainless steel tsuba features a beautifully detailed frog on a lily pad scene in gold and silver patina, while the black with brass detailing of the fuchi and kashira adds a touch of sophistication. The buffalo horn kojiri, koiguchi, and kurikata are polished to perfection, and the habaki is a one-piece brass construction. The sword comes with a deep black lacquered saya and an elegantly hand-woven dark blue and moss green silk sageo. 

The set is completed by the matching Wakizashi 29-SH2468 (sold separately), a must-have for any samurai sword collector. The Kaeru Katana also comes with a traditional maintenance kit (OH1003) to keep it in pristine condition.
