Battle Blades

The BattleBlades katana features a unique design with a skull-themed tsuba and skeletal fuchi and kashira components crafted from antiqued metal. The blade is made using traditional techniques, with panels of folded steel laminated together to create a composite blade construction. The blade is made from several components of 1095 steel, which are folded to remove impurities, and then forge-welded together to create a laminated blade with a hard steel edge. The blade has been differentially-tempered with clay to further harden the blade edge, resulting in a hardness of 59-60 HRc on the edge and 40-45 HRc on the spine and body of the blade.
