Our Chimtas are a percussion instrument, traditionally part of South Asian music, and often used in popular Punjabi Bhangra music.
Our chimta consists of a long, flat folded piece of Stainless Steel, with pairs of small stainless jingles. To play clap the steel tongs together with one hand, while the other hand manipulates the ring against the tongs.
