Our Heraldic Talbot Pendant measures 1.25 inches in diameter and comes on a 36 inch black cotton cord. All of our jewelry is made with LEAD FREE PEWTER. Talbot was, in Medieval times a common name for a hound, a sort of 'Fido' of its day. In a quotation from about 1449, the king referred to John Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury as 'Talbott, oure good dogge', perhaps as a play on his name, or in allusion to the family badge. The Talbot is the symbol of Courage, vigilance and loyaltyYou have a background choice of: Plain, Blue, Black, Red, Purple, or Green.
