Product Description
The word kepi is from the French meaning small cap. The first official version of the Kepi was introduced to the U.S. Army in 1858. The dark blue Kepi was formally called a forage cap and was nicknamed bummers cap by the troops due to its baggy shape. It was also worn by many Confederate troops in dark blue, shades of grey and butternut. Our Confederate Civil War Cap KEPI in Gray is great for Civil War reenactors and available in four sizes. Made from wool these Civil War Caps are lined with cotton fabric and have a leather headband.
