Product Description

Finally, a fully functional re-enactment version of the classic North Italian (Milanese) Hounskull Basinet! Late 14th Century helm c 1390. Fully functional visor is trimmed in heavy gauge brass and comes with steel posts (Vervelles) with holes through which the chainmail aventail is attached. Included with this fine helm is the aventail with brass accents. Weight 11 lbs 13oz. If you are not planning to use padding in the helm, an optional leather suspension liner is available. The Hounskull or (Pig Faced) Basinet Helm is made from 16 gauge steel. Please include your choice when ordering. Children's armor available for children under 4 feet 11 inches.
