The Imperial Gallic A Roman Helmet is an excellent facsimile of one of the earliest iron helmets to be used by the Augustan legions in the late 1st century BC, the original being found at Nijmegen. The type seems to have been fairly widespread. Our Imperial Gallic A Roman Helmet has recently been redesigned to uprate its accuracy, with the kind help of RAT members. Made from iron with brass trim this Roman Helmet is functional with an Internal circumference of 22-24 Inches.
