14th Century Brigandine: This leather body Armor is a nice and historically accurate brigandine from the 1300s. It is very flexible and does not restrict movement. Commonly worn over a gambeson and mail shirt, it was not long before this form of protection was in wide use with fighters from knight to archer. Our version comes with hand stitched leather outer and inner shell with steel plates riveted in between. Strap and buckle closure at the shoulders and side. Fits up to a 48" chest and 37" waist. Approximately 10lbs.
