This type of helm developed in Germany and was called a zischagge. The English version was worn by the cavalry during the Civil War of 1642-1648. Our Lobster-Tailed Pot Helmet comes with triple bar visor and hinged cheek pieces. Circa 1630-1650. Made from 14 and 16 gauge steel.
