Our Medieval Mace is a reproduction from a small collection of arms from Hans Sloans at the British Museum. This mace was one of his important medieval items. It was found at Windsor, as were some of his other British archaeological objects, including the axes in case 5. They may have come from Windsor Castle since Sloane advised Queen Anne on her health and was later physician to George II.
