Italic Roman Helmet - During the time of the great battles with Germanic tribes, the Imperial Roman soldiers began reinforcing their helmets with added plates and crossbars. These additions added strength along with beauty and gave better protection against the Germans heavy swords and axes. With brass reinforcement plates and brass motifs, this is quite an attractive version of the classic Roman helmet. Hand made, high carbon steel and fully wearable.
