Here is our Synthetic Single Hand Guard-Red designed by Dave Rawlings.
These guards have been designed with safety, durability and aesthetics in mind, using an original 15th century guard as a reference. The ball-ended quillons provide for safe body contact with minimal risk.
They are crafted in a high-impact polymer that balances impact resistance and flexural strength, and while they are suitable for low-impact sparring activity we would recommend the steel guard for use in full-contact bouts.
This pommel will fit any of our Synthetic Sparring Longsword Blades.
