The Duke of Exeter Sword, is named after the Duke of Exeter, the uncle to King Henry V. With its 28 inch cut & thrust style blade, this sword typifies the style of armament that served the English king and his men at the battle of Agincourt. With a diamond cross-section to give it the rigidity needed to push through the joints in a suit of plate armor, swords of this type were indispensable to the English king and his kinsmen. The down swept steel guard and wheel pommel help give this sword a perfectly balanced feel, allowing it to swing easily in one hand while leaving the off hand free to make use of a shield or for grappling.
