The Brass Swept-Hilt Rapier originates from early 17th century Europe, where swordplay with the rapier was considered an essential part of a gentlemen's education and was often used in resolving gentlemanly disagreements. Our Deepeeka Rapiers are all hand forged from high carbon cutlery steel, ground and polished and are close to the originals in weight, size, and workmanship. Wooden grip with twisted brass wire. Brass guard with diamond shaped pommel. Diamond sectioned blade is 38" long . Overall 47". Scabbard is black leather with brass throat and tip.
