This sword features a steel fish-tail pommel, straight guard, and a leather and wire wrapped grip. This battle ready sword is designed for stage combat and will stand up to the rigors of steel to steel sword fighting. We are pleased to offer you a semi-custom sword with a choice of sharp (factory edged 1mm thickness) or blunted blade, and various finishes. The sword blades are made from high carbon steel with a Rockwell Hardness of 46 - 47 HRC and tempered to a spring steel.

King Charles III Rapier Sword by Marto of Toledo Spain M385

The King Charles III Rapier Sword by Marto of Toledo Spain is a replica reproduction of a guard sword that belonged to King Chalres III (Charles III of Bourbon, king of Naples from 1735 to 1759 and king of Spain from 1759 to 1788). Charles the Third (Carlos the Third) was a man of great dynamic spirit, and promoted cultural and economic growth. Founder of the Royal Factory of Weapons of Toledo, he was a promoter of important architectural work. King Chalres III contributed with soldiers and weapons to the independence of the United States of America. King Charles the Third is best known in Italy for granting independence to the south of the Peninsula after two centuries of Spanish and Austrian rule.

The King Charles III Rapier Sword by Marto of Toledo Spain has a Toledo steel made blade, etched on its upper part. The cast metal hilt has a shell guard provided with knuckleguard, typical of the17th - 18th centuries rapiers. The pommel is chalice shaped and the handgrip is wrapped in metal string.
