Product Description
The Topfhelm or pot helmet was a roughly cylindrical formed medieval helmet type which arose in the early 13th century in Europe and was common untill the 14th century. Also known as a barrel helmet or great helmet it was sometimes worn over a smaller helmet and chainmail, this beautiful Topfhelm with its menacing, eye slits was a strong, tough steel helmet fully capable of absorbing the shock of combat.
The Topfhelm is made from 16 gauge steel making is tough enough for re-enactments and light enough for LARP events. Our Topfhelm is fully functional.
