The Hospitaller Surcoat prominently displays the white Maltese cross on a black ground, significant in that the Hospitallers made the island of Malta their base after the Crusades. It would have provided ready recognition on the battlefield. Our historic reconstruction of the Hospitaller Surcoat is crafted in Heavy Linen, fully lined and designed to avoid excessive extra weight and heat retention. Belt is not included.
