Just a quick note to let everyone know what's going on with the arm bracer contest.

We knew there were a lot of talented people out there but we did not anticipate the overwhelming number of entries! As a result our judges are having a really tough time deciding on the winner. We have narrowed the entries down to a few and hope to announce the winner sometime next week. We would also like to take this time to thank everyone who sent in their arm bracer designs.

Our New Horse Trappers with Medieval Heraldic Coats of Arms are medieval horse trappers or caparisons. The Trapper or Caparison is a covering, of cloth or leather and normally displayed the knight's coat of arms. The Horse Trapper or Caparison were a part of the horse's armour known as barding and were worn during battles or tournaments.

The Practical Special Katana is a subtly modified version of the Practical Katana, made in response to requests for a quicker sword at the same economy price. The blade dimensions have been changed only slightly and the tsuba cutouts have been enlarged, and though this has resulted in a weight loss of only 3 oz, the difference in handling is very noticeable. The Practical will remain the standard for hard, regular cutting, but for those needing a faster draw, multiple cut katana at an economy price, the Special is the answer.

Our Practical Damascus Katana is the first in our new line of Practical Japanese Swords with real Damascus blades. Our Damascus Katana is a practical and economical sword that can be used in cutting practice. This fully functional razor sharp Katana comes with a full tang construction made from 7 layers of hand forged 1095 Damascus steel (HRC60 edge, HRC40 back).
