Functional Medieval Battle Axes
The axe is one of man's oldest implements. Axes of stone, bronze, iron and finally steel were used as both tool and weapon. Most axes were used both to hew the limbs of trees as well as the limbs of men.

When the use of plate armour reached its peak, many axe designs evolved from chopping weapons to crushing weapons. Some of them were actually better than the mace, since the force of the blow was concentrated on a smaller area.

Each weapon is individually hand crafted by some of the best arms crafters in Europe. They are able to study in depth original pieces from museums and private collections in Europe. Old-World craftsmanship ensures attention to detail.

Each piece is fully functional, battle ready and will perform just as well as the originals. Available in either blunted or sharpened (1mm thickness) versions! European groups have been using these axes in live steel/re-enactments for years.
