During the European Middle Ages a horse's head armor became indispensable as the main battle tactic was a head on attack. Our Gothic Horse Chamfron is made from 18 gauge steel with stylish fluting and embellishments. This beautiful armor also makes an equally attractive wall display. No collection is complete without the chamfron which was as important as the helm, mail, plate armor, sword and shield. Face Plate-sized and shaped to fit most modern saddle breeds.
