German 17th century Papenheimer Rapier Ref: AH-3212 The German 17th century Papenheimer Rapier originates from Europe, where swordplay with the rapier was considered an essential part of a gentlemen's education and was often used in resolving gentlemanly disagreements. Our Deepeeka Rapiers are all hand forged from high carbon cutlery steel, ground and polished and are close to the originals in weight, size, and workmanship. Except where noted, each one comes with a free scabbard, either steel, or leather or leather covered wood, with nickel or brass throats and tips.Wooden grip wrapped with twisted brass wire. The guard is all steel construction with pierced plates. Blade width 1 3/4", Blade Length 32", Overall 41". (Now includes scabbard)
