British "Brown Bess" Rifle Ref: FD1054 The "Brown Bess" was one of the most renowned flintlock muskets ever produced. Introduced during the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1714), the gun was produced for over a century and was one of the most significant firearms of the American Revolutionary War. The Continental Army was armed with the weapon at the start of hostilities and, as the war progressed, many more were manufactured locally. The musket was still in British service at the time of the Napoleonic Wars in Europe (1799-1815). It weighed a hefty fifteen pounds with its bayonet and fired a ball three quarters of an inch in diameter! This non-firing version is accurately detailed and comes complete with its removable bayonet. KEY FEATURES: * Non-fireable * Functional lock mechanism * A piece of firearms history

Kentucky Flintlock Rifle Ref: FD1201 The name "Kentucky Rifle" is largely a misnomer - they were primarily made in Pennsylvania, although Maryland and Virginia gunsmiths contributed a fair share. The "Kentucky" name came about as a result of the Battle of New Orleans, which was substantially won by these rifles, in the hands of two thousand frontiersmen from Kentucky. While the design was influenced by the German Jaeger rifles and the slender English and French fowling pieces of the early 18th Century, the Kentucky is uniquely American. This non-firing version shows the graceful lines for which the Kentucky became renowned. KEY FEATURES: * Non-fireable * Functional lock mechanism * Full-length stock
MEASUREMENTS: BARREL LENGTH: 28 1/2" OVERALL LENGTH: 42 1/4" WEIGHT: 3lb 10oz
