EARLY MEDIEVAL THROUGH 14TH CENTURY

Great Helm

Ref: 300404
There are examples of this type of Great Helm in the Royal Armoury at Leeds and the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh, as well as on many grave effigies throughout Europe. This helm was in use from about 1350 forward. Normally worn over another helmet.
