The Dragon Double Edged Folded Katana is the best of the series that we offer with finely crafted fittings and polished blade surfaces. These swords are the closest to genuine antique Japanese Swords from the "Classic Samurai" Series. Each of the Dragon folded blades are heat-treated using the traditional clay tempering method, resulting in a distinct "Earth Up" hamon pattern. This leaves the cutting edge hard and the rest of the blade softer to absorb the shock of battle.

The double edges make this a very light, fast and agile sword capable of slashing cuts and well as superior thrusting ability. This battle ready katana comes with a hand forged and folded 1055 carbon steel blade. The blade is heat treated to a spring steel temper and the RHC is about 58. We use only high quality traditional Japanese materials for the sword fittings. Each Dragon Katana has a genuine ray skin same with traditional cord wrappings, iron tsuba and a black lacquered wood scabbard (saya). The Dragon Katana is polished by hand which allows the grain patterns to show through the sword blade and ji. We offer this version with a bohi (blood grove). Included with your new katana is a dark blue fully lined cotton sword bag and complete FREE cleaning kit!
