One of the most elegant of all swords. The Cup-Hilt Rapiers endless variation of wire baskets and cup guards also offered good hand protection, the cup-hilt being the best of these. With two fingers over the guard the hand tucked down into the cup for excellent cover. The thin, long blade - offset by the mass of the entire hilt made for lightning-like point speed and control. Our offering has nickel plate on the pommel, guard and cup to give it a rich luster, while the grip is hand carved bone. A very attractive piece. Scabbard is included. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®.
