Black Prince Sword

 Ref: IP-076-2
- The Historical Black Prince Sword - Late 14th century Hand and a Half Sword (Type: XVa) - The original sword, which rests in a private collection in England, is thought to possibly be the sword of Edward the Black Prince. The Black Prince, son of Edward III and father of Richard II, was known as a great warrior. The sword was removed from its resting place during the English Civil War, Cromwell being blamed for its disappearance. Our design features a distilled taper 33 1/4" high carbon steel blade with strong tang that is peened onto the pommel. The handle is hard-wood then wrapped in leather. The cross guard and pommel are solid steel.
This sword features an adjustable diagonal suspension scabbard*, a hardwood scabbard wrapped in leather and complete with an adjustable diagonal suspension to fit your needs. A unique design as well as very functional for the few owners that possess one.
The handle is wood, wrapped in leather. The cross guard and pommel are solid steel, polished and fitted onto a full tang that is peened at top of the pommel for strength and durability.

MEASUREMENTS:
Overall: 43 1/4"- Blade length: 33 1/4"
Handle/Hilt length: 10"- Weight 4 lbs
Balance Point 5-1/4" Below Hilt

- Note -...The blade is 3/16" high carbon spring steel with a full hefty tang. We tested it on several 2"x4"s standing up and split them with no marring on the blade. We then tested it on a 2"x4" cross ways resting on each side on a solid rest and came straight down. It did not cut all the way through but it did cut deep and again did not mar the blade or edge. We then went to the ultimate test Steel-to-SteelSM. We did 9 good blows, it nicked the blade but did not break the blade, the tang or handle in either of these tests.

This powerful magnet is designed to hold a sword either vertically or horizontally in position on a wall. The sword holder can be used with all medieval type broadswords and Japanese swords.

With the addition of a spacer between the magnet and wall (strip of plywood), you will be able to easily display your rapiers and basket hilted swords!

Our magnets surface has been expertly polished and designed not to scratch your sword blade. It comes with three holes for securing to a wall. Please note these magnetic sword holders are so powerful that they must be fastened to a wall stud.

Tip: For those highly polished swords, we suggest gluing a thin strip of material to the front of the magnets surface.
