12th Century Medieval Sword NEW!!

Ref: IP-003-2
Our newest Generation 2 design. 12th Century Medieval Sword - (Original: c. 1100 - 1250 Northern Europe, Museum and Art Gallery, Glasgow.) A well known leading expert on medieval swords comments that the original could be from as early as 1100 to as late as 1250. And we trust that he should know.

The pommel, a faceted wheel, is a shape encountered in the Leppaho Viking swords, a group of swords excavated from Viking graves dating from 980-1000.

The crossguard is of an early form, which the Vikings referred to as Gaddhjalt [spike hilt].

The blade is designed for the cutting style of fighting used during this period and has a fuller running 2/3 the length of the blade.

Our version features:
* A hardwood handle, wrapped in leather.
* The cross guard and pommel are solid steel, polished and fitted onto a full tang that is peened at top of the pommel for strength and durability. And is how many of the originals were fitted.
* The scabbard is made from wood then wrapped in leather with a solid steel end cap.

MEASUREMENTS:
Blade length: 34.5"
Handle/Hilt length: 8.5"
Overall: 43"
Balance Point: 5.5" Below Hilt
Weight: Under 3/5 lbs.

Free Magnetic Sword Hanger
One free sword hanger with this sword. Retail is $19.00 The newest invention in sword display technology!

This powerful magnet is designed to hold a sword either vertically or horizontally in position on a wall. The sword holder can be used with all medieval type broadswords and Japanese swords.

With the addition of a spacer between the magnet and wall (strip of plywood), you will be able to easily display your rapiers and basket hilted swords!

Our magnets surface has been expertly polished and designed not to scratch your sword blade. It comes with three holes for securing to a wall. Please note these magnetic sword holders are so powerful that they must be fastened to a wall stud.

Measures 6" long, 1" deep and 3/4" wide.

Tip: For those highly polished swords, we suggest gluing a thin strip of material to the front of the magnets surface.
